I just came upon a pretty interesting statistic: according to a 2008  BIGresearch study, 92.5% of adults regularly or occasionally research products online before buying them in a store.  Just a few years ago I would have found these numbers hard to believe but times have certainly changed. I know that when I’m doing research on a purchase, I first check out reviews online. Yes, there are other places to look but it’s convenient and fast to just do a quick search. If I find some good testimonials from satisfied customers, then I’m much much times more likely to buy that product. Even if the product is a little more expensive or a little harder to get, I pick the ones with positive reviews. I actually tend not to even purchase these products online, but I’ll go into the stores for them. It’s so interesting how important online marketing is for attracting consumers these days. Companies with good web visibility and a lot of positive feedback can draw in a staggering amount of customers.
